SUMMARY:Blues Tram w/Julian James + Alawishus Jones & The Outright Lies
DESCRIPTION:We’re hosting two very bluesy acts on our first Blues Tram of 2018! \nEnjoy the sights of Bendigo’s architecturally stunning CBD from on board the sensationally restored vintage W Class tram\, while being serenaded by two great acts: \nJulian James:\nThe front man from the raucous Melbourne based Chicago Blues outfit ‘Catfish Voodoo’ has been playing around Australia for the past 8 Years. His style is based deep in the Blues/ Gospel Acoustic Strummers of the South\, with biblical references of Love\, Loss and Debauchery. Recorded with Paulie Bignell (The Detonators\, Paulie Bignell and the Thornbury Two) in Hailstone Studios (Three Kings)\, ‘Whiskey and the Devil’ is a mix of the contemporary and traditional that showcases a different side of a man familiar to Australian blues fans. \nAlawishus Jones & The Outright Lies:\nLet Alawishus\, Wilby & Cleitus take you folks all the way\nback to the year o’nineteen and thirty. They’ll likely tell\nyou stories about the old times and sing\nyou some authentic rural blues\, rag tunes & maybe even some old time spirituals\nWhat can we expect from AJ&theOLs? Old blues; Maybe some pre blues stuff that contains elements essential to the birth of blues like work song\, field holler & ragged time; Mostly what you can expect though is 3 guys having a lot of fun; Guitar\, drums\, washboard\, bass\, trumpet\, harmonica & ukulele; Stories and anecdotes that could have historical significance or might be outright lies! \nSaturday January 13th\nBlues Tram\, feat: Julian James + Alawishus Jones & The outright Lies\nDeparting Central Deborah Goldmine (76 Violet Street) at 2pm\, returning 4:15pm.\nTix: $35 from Bendigo Visitor Centre 1800 813 513 or https://www.bendigotourism.com/tours/bendigo-cbd/bendigo-blues-tram\nFollow The Blues Tram here: https://www.facebook.com/TheBluesTram \nStrictly no BYO. Drinks and snacks available for purchase. \nThe Blues Tram is organised and staged by Bendigo Blues & Roots Music Festival Inc\, a not-for-profit organisation run by volunteers. \nPlease Note:\nThis is a music appreciation event. For the enjoyment of all patrons\, any rowdy or loud behaviour will not be tolerated. Event management reserves the right to refuse admission or evict patrons if requests to manage behaviour are not complied with; in this unlikely event\, tickets of offenders will be forfeited and no refund will be available.
