SUMMARY:The Blues Tram w/Luke Watt + Alawishus Jones & The Outright Lies
DESCRIPTION:Enjoy the sights of Bendigo’s architecturally stunning CBD from on board the sensationally restored vintage W Class tram\, while being serenaded by two brilliant acts: \nLuke Watt is a folk/blues guitarist and songwriter described by ABC National as “Raw and mercurial\, the real deal\,” and by Lloyd Spiegel as “A master of his craft.”\nDespite the experiences of touring his last album Hill End Ruin throughout Europe and the U.S\, Luke Watt’s new record is inspired by stories based much closer to home. Wild Graces is a collection of songs inspired by\, written and recorded in his now home of Central Victoria. The record was then mixed by long-time collaborator Nick Huggins (Jen Cloher\, Skipping Girl Vinegar\, Whitley). Luke’s folk and blues guitar playing carries songs of failed gold diggers\, small town tragedies and feuds between cranky old men. Wild Graces is an album from a touring artist who set up home and found stories worth telling. \nAll the way from the heart of the deep south comes the sound of authenticity cobbled together by three of the finest purveyors of twenty first century blues. Alawishus Jones\, Cleitus Johnson and T-Bone Redding seamlessly combine in multi-instrumental song lines that are rambunctious and delicious in equal measures.\nFixtures on all good festivals these ragtime playing rapscallions put on a rollicking show full of great music\, showmanship and comedy. Their first album ‘Little White Lies’ was launched earlier this year and greeted with ‘hollers’ and hoots of approval from all and sundry.\nPull up your braces\, button your collar\, hang on to your seats and get ready for the highly democratic\, somewhat enigmatic\, often melodramatic\, fully gyrostatic and totally charismatic Alawishus Jones & The Outright Lies! \nSaturday August 8th\nBlues Tram\, feat: Luke Watt + Alawishus Jones & The Outright Lies\nDeparting Central Deborah Goldmine (76 Violet Street) at 2pm (sharp)\, returning 4:15pm (approx.).\nTix: $39 from Bendigo Visitor Centre 1800 813 513 or online here: https://www.bendigotourism.com/tours/bendigo-cbd/bendigo-blues-tram\nFollow The Blues Tram here: https://www.facebook.com/TheBluesTram \nStrictly no BYO. Drinks and snacks available for purchase. \nThe Blues Tram is organised and staged by Bendigo Blues & Roots Music Festival Inc\, a not-for-profit organisation run by volunteers. \nPlease Note:\nThis is a music appreciation event – a mobile concert. For the enjoyment of all patrons\, any rowdy or loud behavior will not be tolerated. Event management reserves the right to refuse admission or evict patrons if requests to manage behavior are not complied with; in this unlikely event\, tickets of offenders will be forfeited and no refund will be available.

SUMMARY:The Blues Tram feat: Geoff Achison + The Lone Vanguard (Dale Lindrea)
DESCRIPTION:Enjoy the sights of Bendigo’s architecturally stunning CBD from on board the sensationally restored vintage Class tram #610\, while being serenaded by two great acts. \nGeoff Achison:\nGeoff began his apprenticeship with legendary Australian bluesman ‘Dutch’ Tilders establishing himself as a fine lead guitarist before striking out with his own. He released his debut album in the early 90s and began touring throughout the USA\, UK & Europe. Geoff’s music has been compared favourably to major artists such as Eric Clapton\, JJ Cale and the Allman Brothers Band having a solid foundation in the blues whilst embracing a variety of music styles. He has won awards for his guitar playing\, songwriting and live performances and was honoured in 2011 as official Patron Of the Melbourne Blues Appreciation Society.\nAs a song-writer\, Geoff explores a myriad of themes from love & loss to politics & philosophy; often with his wry sense of humour shining through. Vocally\, Geoff has been compared favourably to the gruff voiced Joe Cocker\, Warren Haynes and Paul Weller. An extraordinary guitarist who plays quite unlike anyone else\, Geoff has been a driving force on the Australian blues/roots scene inspiring and influencing many of his younger compatriots. \nThe Lone Vanguard:\nDale Lindrea describes his sound as ‘Muddy Water meets Kraftwerk’ with a range of influences that push the boundaries of the Roots music envelope. Dale is one of the most exceptional musicians to be plying his trade on the Oz Blues and Roots stage today. It’s a blessing to have him back on The Blues Tram in 2023! \nSaturday September 9th\nBlues Tram\, feat: Geoff Achison + The Lone Vanguard\nDeparting Central Deborah Goldmine (76 Violet Street) at 2pm\, returning 4:30pm.\nTix: $49.50 from Bendigo Visitor Centre 1800 813 513 or online here: https://www.bendigotourism.com/tours/bendigo-cbd/bendigo-blues-tram \nFollow The Blues Tram here: https://www.facebook.com/TheBluesTram \nStrictly no BYO. SUMMARY:The Blues Tram feat: Don Morrison + The Backyard Banjo Club!
DESCRIPTION:Enjoy the sights of Bendigo’s architecturally stunning CBD from on board the sensationally restored vintage Class tram #610\, while being serenaded by two great acts. \nDon Morrison is a songwriter\, singer\, guitarist\, guitar maker\, story teller and author. He has shared the stage with many of the biggest names in Australian music\, like Midnight Oil\, Hunters and Collectors\, Joe Camilleri\, Men At Work and a hundred more in more than thirty years in music game.\nHe has worked with Bo Diddly\, Joe Cocker\, Rodriguez. He was brave enough to stand next to Shakin’ Stephens in a urinal and was nearly killed by Willie Nelson in Austin\, Texas.\nHe’s done gigs from Melbourne to Margaret River\, from Sydney to San Antonio\, Perth to Penrith and released fifteen albums and CDs of original songs.\nDon also makes the world renowned Donmo Resonator guitars\, mandolins and ukuleles. There’s now more that 500 of these hand made instruments being played all over the world and the guitars he uses on stage are unique and made from parts of his family history.\nDon has a powerful and engaging stage presence and a captivating narrative in his songs.
