DESCRIPTION:After a great kick-start from our Summer Showcase event at the Rifle Brigade Hotel in February\, we again return to the Golden Vine Hotel for the Winter edition – another brilliant line-up is in store\, across two stages\, presenting 16 acts\, all of whom will be part of our November Bendigo Blues & Roots Music Festival in 2018. \nThe packed list of acts confirmed to perform at this year’s BB&RMF Winter Showcase/Fundraiser event includes some of Bendigo’s best\, along with some fresh faces and exciting sounds from the larger blues\, soul\, jazz and original music circuits who’ve put their respective hands up to support our not-for-profit community music festival.  Here’s some of the acts playing the Vine on July 16: Jarrah Thompson\, Messin’ ‘Round\, Wayne Jury\, Spiritus\, William Alexander\, Ben J Carter\, Dave Diprose\, Mariah McCarthy\, Pat Ward\, Jarrod Shaw and Sons of The Blues… with more to be announced! \nAs always\, these artists are donating their time and talents for this Fundraiser\, as do the Festival’s volunteer committee and crew\, to help boost the kitty to pay for the Festival itself\, to be held on November 8-11\, 2018. \nTo continue to fund this predominantly free festival\, your support and assistance is needed. So spread the word and bring a posse to the Golden Vine Hotel Bendigo on Sunday 15 July and help grow the burgeoning music scene we’ve managed to revitalise together over the last 8 years or so in Central Victoria.  \nOn behalf of our local venues\, local and visiting artists\, and all of us who enjoy a wide range of live music to choose from on a weekly basis\, ‘Thank You’ for your ongoing support of grass-roots music events! \nTickets for the Winter Showcase event are available at the door on the day and are $15 for adults\, $5 for under-18s (with under-12s free). Wild Graces is a collection of songs inspired by\, written and recorded in his now home of Central Victoria. The record was then mixed by long-time collaborator Nick Huggins (Jen Cloher\, Skipping Girl Vinegar\, Whitley). Luke’s folk and blues guitar playing carries songs of failed gold diggers\, small town tragedies and feuds between cranky old men. DESCRIPTION:A four-day Winter Warm-up\, including a two-day Street Party\, showcasing 25 local and visiting bands who will also feature at this year’s Bendigo Blues & Roots Music Festival. \nKicking off Thursday night (23 August) inside the iconic pub\, top flight solo and duo acts will play from 8pm till midnight. Same again on Friday night (24 August)\, before the big party begins in Water Street\, from 12pm midday on Saturday (25 August) and concluding Sunday evening (26 August) around 8pm. \nThis is not a fundraiser\, it’s a preview event\, a celebration of the upcoming eighth annual BB&RMF (#BBRMF18) and the venues that make it great\, featuring the best live music\, with great company\, top food and drink\, with thanks to the ownership\, management and fantastic crew at The Bridge Hotel Bendgio! \nFull program with playing times of the featured acts will be published here very shortly… watch this space!

Charlie performed at the “International Blues Challenge – Youth Showcase” in Memphis 2017 and 2018 representing the Melbourne Blues Appreciation Society!\nHe has played with & been mentored by some of the biggest names in Australian Blues such as\, Geoff Achison\, Sweet Felicia\, Jimi Hocking\, Andrea Marr\, Russell Morris & Lloyd Spiegel to name a few. Charlie is a fresh act on the festival scene\, representing the next generation – keeping the blues alive! He’ll get your feet tapping & leave a smile on your face! \nWalkers Road:\nJarrod Shaw and Sarah Wilkinson perform a blend of country\, folk and roots music that showcases their unique guitar styles and superb harmonies. The combination of Jarrod’s blues heavy approach with Sarah’s folk and country style makes for a diverse and captivating show.\nTheir first collaboration was at the Carols At Hanging Rock event in 2012\, where they were asked to perform as a duo.
