ALSO FEATURING THE MUSIC OF ANNA SCIONTI
URBAN BLUES & ECLECTIC STEEL SLIDE
Anna Scionti (pronounced Shon-tee) is a singer-songwriter, guitarist and bottleneck slide player who mixes it up on cigar box guitar, resonator, lap steel and six-string guitar.
The music Scionti makes is her own style steeped in blues, roots and rock. While absorbing influences from her favourite inspirational artists, Scionti walks her own creative path. Driving guitars and honey-soaked, gravel-infused vocals draw you deep in to her world of emotionally charged, electrified rhythmic tunes.
Having lost both her parents as a teenager, Scionti turned to music as an outlet. Her original songs tell stories of love, loss, and longing and are uninhibited, raw and unapologetic in their honesty. They are songs from the heart.
JUNKBOX RACKET is Scionti’s latest album giving you a reason to get up and dance!
Supported by Steph Bitter
Inspired by Josh Pyke and Angie McMahon, Steph Bitter has grown from a shy young kid who loved to write stories into an intelligent, down-to-earth alt/indie/folk singer-songwriter. After she picked up the guitar at 14, Steph found her passion in music. She was quickly writing songs and performing at local open mic nights, catching the admiration and appreciation of many musicians and music-lovers alike.
Steph recorded her first EP when she was 16, releasing it at a small, jam-packed launch in Bendigo in 2016. She’s taken her music to various venues around Melbourne and regional Victoria, including World Vegan Day Melbourne, Bendigo White Night, Macedon Ranges Music Festival, and the Bendigo Blues & roots Music Festival; the latter at which she was awarded the ‘Up and Coming’ award in 2015. After debuting with a band just before ‘the lost Covid years’, Steph entered the studio to record new music, released in 2022.
