Enjoy the sights of Bendigo’s architecturally stunning CBD from on board the sensationally restored vintage W Class tram, while being serenaded by two great acts:
Matt Katsis:
“A bluesman at heart, avid wanderer reflecting troubadour tradition, albeit delicately picked ballads to foot stomping slide guitar driven down-home blues swagger. Melbourne singer-songwriter & guitarist Matt Katsis features a “one-man-band” approach through use of percussive elements of the acoustic guitar, kick drum, stomp-box and tambourine, this has seen Matt take to audiences far and wide with the ease and merit that parallel’s his music.
Past festival performances include our very own Bendigo Blues & Roots Music Festival, Blues on Broadbeach (QLD), Queenscliff Music Festival (VIC), Illawarra Folk Festival (NSW) and most recent support shows with Australian Roots Music Legends Jeff Lang & The Backsliders has certainly set the tone for what’s to come.
His latest live album release ‘Live At The Wheaty’ encompasses his distinctive fusion of folk, blues and roots, which was compiled following two separate shows at The Wheatsheaf, Adelaide during his ‘As The River Runs’ National Tour.”
Jess Parker & The Troubled Waters:
“With a voice like honey poured over a thunder, a howling, beat up old Gretsch guitar and thumping animalistic drums, Jess Parker &
The Troubled Waters mix their unique brew of dark Australiana and roaring swamp blues perfectly. After recording their debut EP – ‘Goin’ Swimmin’ at The Aviary in late 2017 and embarking on a a string of local and regional shows, the momentum and force this Melbourne duos’ train is growing stronger and proving to be unstoppable.”
