The Blues Tram w/White Lightning + Jess Parker

Two phenomenal young blues acts on the rise will ride the rails this October: White Lightning (Sean McConnell and Benny Gerrard) make their long-awaited return while Jess Parker makes her Blues Tram debut.

Enjoy the sights of Bendigo’s architecturally stunning CBD from on board the sensationally restored vintage W Class tram, while being serenaded by two great acts:

White Lightning:
White Lightning are a swamp blues-rock band, bringing together the sounds of the deep southern states of the US with a modern bite and contemporary songwriting style. The duo consists of Sean McConnell on slide guitar and vocals, and Benny Gerrard (Catfish Voodoo) on drums. The pair aim to reinvigorate traditional blues for a 21st century audience, to shake the walls and empty whiskey bottles.
Known for anything from raucous dancing tunes, to stripped back delta songs, the pair caters to a broad taste.

Jess Parker & The Troubled Waters:
After being raised on her parents record collection and traveling the deep south, Jess Parker has spent the last year unleashing her haunting blend of blues and folk across Victoria. Singing songs of heartbreak and memoirs of whiskey-soaked New Orleans streets, Jess and her howling Gretsch -Electric Mud’ will dreamily serve you up some blues.
