2019 was busy for Melbourne folk artist Nathan Power with international appearances, two national tours and almost a hundred shows including slots at Yackandandah Folk Festival, Bendigo Blues, Nimbin Roots and Frankston Waterfront Festival.
Borrowing from the folk, blues and bluegrass worlds, Nathan’s music is dark and rich, combining childhood stories of growing up Africa with a cynical take on modern life. Think Leonard Cohen meets Lloyd Cole, wrapped in a toe-tapping bluegrass band including double bass, mandolin and guitar.
