Two great singer/songwriters, folksters, top-shelf blues & roots artists, Cat Canteri and Luke Watt will feature on our August Blues Tram. Luke is a Blues Tram veteran, but Cat will be making her debut on Bendigo’s favourite mobile music venue. Come along and give Cat a big warm Bendigo welcome…

Enjoy the sights of Bendigo’s architecturally stunning CBD from on board the sensationally restored vintage W Class tram, while being serenaded by two great acts:

Luke Watt:
Luke Watt is a folk/blues guitarist and songwriter described by ABC National as “Raw and mercurial, the real deal,” and by Lloyd Spiegel as “A master of his craft.”
Despite the experiences of touring his last album Hill End Ruin throughout Europe and the U.S, Luke Watt’s new record is inspired by stories based much closer to home. Wild Graces is a collection of songs inspired by, written and recorded in his now home of Central Victoria. The record was then mixed by long-time collaborator Nick Huggins (Jen Cloher, Skipping Girl Vinegar, Whitley). Luke’s folk and blues guitar playing carries songs of failed gold diggers, small town tragedies and feuds between cranky old men. Wild Graces is an album from a touring artist who set up home and found stories worth telling.

Cat Canteri:
Early in 2016 Cat Canteri released her new 6-track EP Late At Night, which captures the vitality and intimacy of her live shows and showcases the verve and passion she brings to her guitar playing. You can hear traces of The Pretenders, Bonnie Raitt, Eleanor Friedberger and Ryan Adams filtered through the organic rock ’n’ roll of The Faces. The new EP follows her acclaimed solo debut album When We Were Young (2014), which shone a spotlight on her own alt-country/Americana style.
