These are just a sample of the glowing testimonials from passengers on the Bendigo Blues & Roots Music Festival’s latest outlet for enjoying the tunes: The Blues Tram, which has established itself as an inte gral part of the Festival.

The experiential moving gig on the Bendigo’s iconic Tram returns Saturday 26 January 2013 as the Australia Day BLUES TRAM. Featuring veteran Australia bluesman DAVE DIPROSE (who has been described as Robert Johnson-esque & has played with the likes of Ash Grunwald & Fiona Boyes) & raw emerging talent ANDREW HIGGS (who, as one half of King of the North, has recently released an EP garnering huge interest and impressive reviews).

The day kicks off at 1:30pm, and features craft beer supplied by Bendigo Beer, local wine and soft drinks. The tram will leisurely roll through the streets of the city, taking a pit stop at the Joss House for desert, before turning back towards the mine.

Festival director Colin Thompson said the Blues Trams were a great initiative for the festival and not to be missed. ‘‘It combines up close and intimate live music with some of Bendigo’s best loved features,’’ he said. ‘‘These beautifully restored trams and the nostalgic ride through our picturesque city centre, with its breathtaking architecture and natural features, offer Blues Tram passengers a truly unique experience, which you simply won’t find anywhere else.’’
